In a news conference with media, Albuquerque Police Chief Ray Schultz said that the shots fired call came in ten minutes before 3 p.m.

Breaking News — UNM Hospital dealing with shooter on sixth floor


Albuquerque Police had a busy afternoon at University Hospital, Tuesday as a shooter was on the sixth floor and managed to get a shot off, where nobody was hurt.

According to police scanner chatter, he exited on the southeast corner of the parking structure of the new hospital. Police chatter said they were still investigating video from both the parking structure and the ambulance bay.

They identified the shooter as a 21-year-old Cesar Dominguez, who at last report had escaped the hospital between the structure and the ally. Police chatter has law enforcement focusing their search to north of hospital. Police chatter describe Dominguez as wearing a white tee-shirt and hospital scrub pants.
Police are allegedly talking to family member, saying that he is homeless and doesn’t have a car. KOB-TV is reporting that UNM hospital is currently under lock down; with nobody to come in or go out from the hospital. Albuquerque Police are keeping everyone out of the parking structure.
