As many of you know I’m not much a fan valet parking. However, in order to get a close hotel to Coors Field in Denver. I had to take the Comfort Inn on 17th st. When I arrived, I then asked the valet that I wanted to park my own car, and they weren’t very happy about it. Keeping in mind this happened on May 29, 2011.
This is the video I took video with my camera phone after seeing several cars going over the posted 5 m.p.h. speed limit in the garage. Watch the one minute 30-second video (You have to watch the whole thing)
I spoke with the hotels Assistant Front Office Manager Brent Ellwood who flat out denied that the car was going over 5 m.p.h. when I showed him the video that evening. In speaking with two different valets who walked with me was a garage that was over 100 years old. If you looked in the complex, it has no business fitting cars like mine, a larger SUV.
The garage drive areas were almost too small for almost any car made in the last 10 years. Ellwood told me, that Central Parking was the company they contracted with and they the Preferred Hotel group, who owned the Comfort Inn didn’t have anything to do with that.
I am posting the video here due to its size and I want you to judge for yourself. Remember to watch it closely as you see one car come down in the time I was filming. with my phone. Keep in mind, my wife and I were guests at the hotel. //www.youtube.com/get_player
